1970s Michel Ducaroy Lucite Shelving Unit

Category: Tags: , ,

Beautiful shelving unit designed by Michel Ducaroy for the French designer furniture company Roche Bobois in 1970. The unit consists of eight Lucite shelves and two integrated spotlights which attach to a pair of metal uprights clamped between floor and ceiling so the system requires no wall support at all and can be placed freestanding as a room divider. The system’s minimum height is 250cm and it can extend up to 280cm. Overall condition is good, but unfortunately two of the Lucite shelves have become slightly warped from being too close to the spot lights.
